During the past decade we have worked to highlight the inequalities that exist in addressing the needs of BAME and Muslim offenders’ and their families. We have an existing portfolio of research projects, but realise that there is still a long way to go to develop this into something more substantial. We recognise that to bring about sustained change, there is the need at both local and national level to promote good practice and influence policy development. AROOJ has been involved in the several research projects to inform and influence policy forums at local, regional and national levels.
